Synopsis
BOYS ON THE SIDE is a simultaneously funny and moving drama of self-discovery. Three very different women find themselves together at individual crossroads in their lives. When Jane, a street-smart New York lesbian, answers an ad to drive across the country, she meets Robin, a prim and proper real-estate agent desperate to flee the city. The seemingly opposite pair embarks on a road trip together, concealing truths about one another: Robin is suffering from AIDS in silence, and Jane hides her homosexuality. Along the way they stop in Pittsburgh to visit Jane's friend Holly. Holly is involved in an abusive relationship with her junkie boyfriend Nick, and when Jane attempts to take Holly with her, Nick violently intervenes. When Robin hears all the commotion, she miraculously saves the day by calming Nick down, then binding him to a chair while Holly packs her bags. However, as the three women travel west, Jane spies Nick's photograph in a newspaper--in an obituary. The trio decides to continue the journey, finding strength in one another's friendship. Director Herb Ross's touching film examines the bonds these women form as they endure heartache and love together in spite of their differences.

El reparto me parece excelente. Se mezclan intensamente las emociones y hay lugar tanto para el llanto como para la carcajada, sobre todo para lo primero.

Esta tristona al final, pero si esta chidita, se disfruta, aunque a veces se desaria que avansara un poquito mas rapido.

Es una pelГcula preciosa, de las que te marcan aunque en un principio no lo parezca, con la que ries y lloras un montГіn pero que aГєn asГ no te deja ese desazГіn de tristeza e impotencia como otras. Es sencillamente genial y asociada a una Гєnica canciГіn "Everything you want, you got it"

Mi pelicula preferida,despues de Tomates Verdes Fritos.BSO preciosa,actuaciones de primera,un guion excelente.Eso si,hay que tener a mano una caja gigante de kleenex porque cala profundamente sin ser melodramatica,lo que en si es,para mi,lo mas logrado de la pelicula.No hay sexo,es cierto,sin embargo la carga emocional entre Jane y Robin es tan palpable que hace que sientas que no has visto la pelicula sino que la has vivido.

Desde que la vi, me enamorГѓВ© de esta pelГѓВcula. Puede que no tenga sexo como decГѓВs, pero que yo sepa eso no le impide ser una buena pelГѓВcula. ¿Que tiene un final triste? segГѓВєn como se mire.. ella pensaba enfrenarse a la muerte sola porque no tenГѓВa a nadie, al final encontrГѓВі un amor inesperado y fiel y un grupo de gente maravillosa que la acompaГѓВ±ГѓВі y la hizo feliz en sus ГѓВєltimos momentos... asГѓВ que tal vez no sea un final tan triste despueГѓВ©s de todo. Es otra de mis favoritas y creo, sin lugar a dudas, que se merece un espacio en nuestra videoteca.

esta en mi lista de favoritas por su sensibilidad y realismo pero le falta sexo para ser una peli completa,parece que te queda mal sabor de boca con un amor vivido solo en su etapa final,al principio debГѓВa haber tenido un poco de...

Creo que la historiay el argumento estan supebien. Creo que es muy bonita, y muy triste, pero muy bien tratada. Yo la recomendaria, sin duda

me palnteo una duda... por que en la mayoria por no decir el 95% de las peliculas que tienen parejas o relaciones homosexuales explicitas el final entre ellas ha de ser triste. la pelicula buenisima me encanto pero estoy harta de pelis pa llorar jooooooo Mary-Louise Parker borda el papel que penita por dios.
